What Klibon does with your Paddle sales
A rate for each Paddle product
A read-only API key (product.read, price.read) lists your catalog, so your monthly plan, your yearly plan and your lifetime deal can each pay their own commission.
Renewals stay attributed
The referral rides in the checkout's custom data, which Paddle copies onto the subscription and every transaction after. Each renewal is credited to the same affiliate for as long as your rate says: a number of months, or for life.
Commission on what you actually earn
Paddle is a merchant of record, so what the customer pays includes tax you never receive. Klibon commissions the amount after discounts and before tax.
Refunds wait for Paddle's approval
An approved refund or chargeback reverses its share of the commission. Nothing is reversed while Paddle is still deciding, so a refund it rejects never touches the commission.
Checkout buttons work as they are
On buttons that carry data-items, the tracking script fills in the custom data, and the discount code when the visitor has one to use. A checkout you open from code takes the code in customData.
Signups match by email
Paddle leaves the customer's email off its notifications. The key reads it (customer.read), so a payment matches a signup you reported with Klibon.signup().

Create a program on Paddle
Sign up free, describe your product and choose Paddle as the conversion source. Or let Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor draft the program for you.

Add the notification destination
In Paddle, Developer tools → Notifications → New destination. Paste the URL from your Setup page, subscribe to transaction.completed, adjustment.created and adjustment.updated, and paste the secret into Klibon.

Add a read-only key
An API key from Developer tools → Authentication, with product.read, price.read and customer.read. Klibon lists your products with it, and you set a rate on each.

Install the tag and publish
One script tag on your site, or pass the code as custom data from your own code. Klibon checks the destination, a product rate and tracking, then lets you publish and invite affiliates.

What each Paddle event becomes
Klibon listens to three events and ignores the rest.
