Troubleshooting
Most questions about a missing commission are answered on your program's Events tab, which lists every payment we received and what we decided about each one. Start there.
"My processor says they paid — where is my commission?"
Find the payment in the Events tab. The result column says what happened.
| Result | What it means |
|---|---|
| Commission | An affiliate earned. It is on the Commissions tab, held until your refund window closes. |
| Not referred | The payment carried no referral code. This is the ordinary outcome for most sales. |
| Duplicate | The same payment already counted through another event. Two events, one commission. |
| Nothing owed | Referred, but your terms produce nothing here — a zero amount, or a subscription past its commission duration. |
| Waiting | We cannot decide yet, usually because the program is not active. Retried every ten minutes. |
| Queued | Received but not yet processed. If it stays this way, press Replay. |
If the payment is not in the list at all, we never received it — that is a webhook problem, not an attribution one. See below.
"Not referred", but I clicked my own link
Work backwards along the chain. Each step has something you can look at.
- Was the click recorded? Check the Clicks tab. If your click is missing, the tracking link is not reaching us; if it is there but marked as filtered, see below.
- Did the script take the code? On your site, after following the link, open the console and run
window.Klibon.referral(). It should return the code. If it returnsnull, the script is not on that page, or the?via=parameter was stripped by a redirect on your side. If a coding agent set up the script for you, it can run this check itself with a browser tool such as DevSnoop, which lets it read the console of your real Chrome tab. - Did the code reach the checkout? This is the step that varies per processor — see the guide for yours. Check the payment in your processor's own dashboard: the code should be visible on it as a reference or as metadata. If it is missing there, it never left your page.
"My clicks are being filtered"
The Clicks tab names a reason for each one.
- bot — the user agent identifies itself as a crawler or a link preview. Slack, Twitter and WhatsApp all fetch a link before showing it.
- duplicate — the same visitor clicked the same affiliate's links again within seconds.
- flood — one address produced far more clicks on one affiliate in an hour than a person makes.
Filtered clicks are stored, never discarded — they just do not count towards anything. If your own test clicks are being filtered as duplicates, wait half a minute between them.
"Klibon says my integration has gone quiet"
We email you when a processor that used to send us events stops for six days, and the Setup page says so for as long as it lasts. It usually means one of three things: the endpoint was disabled, it was deleted and recreated (which changes the signing secret), or it was pointed somewhere else.
This is not the same as an Error badge. Error means we received something and could not verify its signature — paste the secret again. Quiet means we received nothing at all.
If you genuinely stopped selling through that processor, disconnect it and the warnings stop.
"A commission is flagged"
Klibon flags a commission when the buyer looks like the affiliate: the same email address, or the same device seen both at the click and at the sale. It is never approved automatically — you decide. Filter the Commissions tab by Needs review to see them all.
Approving clears the flag and lets it through. Rejecting reverses it in full. Neither tells the affiliate anything, so if you think it was an honest mistake, say so yourself.
"An affiliate is sending fake traffic"
Remove ends the partnership: no new customers, but the ones they already sent keep renewing and keep earning. That is the right answer for a parting of ways.
Block is the fraud answer. Their links stop tracking entirely, renewals stop earning, and everything still unpaid — pending and approved — is reversed and comes off any statement you have not settled. Commissions you already paid are left alone. You can unblock later if you were wrong.
Still stuck
The Events tab keeps the raw record of every payment, and the Replay button re-runs our engine over the original payload without asking your processor to resend anything. Replaying is always safe: a payment can only ever produce one commission.
